The NSS unit of K. M. College of Pharmacy, Uthangudi, Madurai organized an organ donation awareness programme on 31st January 2017. Mr. S. Venkatesh, Transplant Coordinator, Government Rajaji Hospital Madurai addressed the participants on the following - concepts of organ donation and transplantation, brain death, need of deceased organ donation, myths and misconceptions and the legal aspects of organ donation and transplantation.
The programme was arranged by the NSS officers Dr. M. Sundrapandiyan and Mr. N. Jegan. Around 100 students participated in the programme.
