On March 8, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur conducted an organ donation awareness session at Hardas High School, Bhilgaon, Kamthi, organized by Hardas High School Maji Vidyarthi Sangh on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Ms. Veena Wathore and Ms. Neha Sailwar represented MOHAN Foundation. Ms. Veena Wathore facilitated the session, providing information on organ and body donation, their importance, procedures, and benefits. She also explained the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act (THOTA) and highlighted the current scenario and challenges of organ donation in India, including social and religious aspects.
The session was interactive, with participants raising queries, which were addressed by Ms. Veena Wathore, helping to clarify doubts and misconceptions. Ms. Neha Sailwar distributed brochures and visiting cards to the participants.
Around 30 participants attended the session. MOHAN Foundation expressed gratitude to Ms. Chaya Janbandhu for her support and for providing the opportunity to conduct the session.
