‘Gift of Life’ Organ Donation Awareness Session at St. Ursula Girls’ High School, Nagpur

  • On March 5, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur conducted an organ donation awareness session for 55 teaching and non-teaching staff of St. Ursula Girls’ High School, Civil Lines, Nagpur. The objective was to sensitize participants and encourage them to promote organ donation.

    The session was led by Ms. Veena Wathore, who explained organ and tissue donation, including eligible donors, organs that can be donated, and the concept of brain stem death. She also highlighted the gap between the demand and availability of organs in India.

    The programme included informative videos on organ donation. Mr. Moses Gaur from the Church of North India emphasized the ethical importance of donation, while Mr. Dhiraj Kurve distributed informational brochures.

    The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Veena Wathore. Principal Ms. Sheetal Peter shared a heartfelt real-life story on organ donation and appreciated the efforts of MOHAN Foundation.
