Thrilling Triumphs and Global Unity: Highlights from Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024

  • On 21st January 2024, The Tata Mumbai Marathon played a pivotal role in not only defining but also shaping the running culture in India for many years. This platform seamlessly and magnificently brings together a diverse spectrum of individuals

    Nearly 59,000 people geared up with their running shoes to join this year's edition. The participation breakdown encompasses 10,711 individuals in the Marathon, 15,218 in the Half Marathon, 7,130 in the Open 10K, 20,590 in the Dream Run, 1,782 in the Senior Citizens Run, and 1,114 in the Champions with Disability category.

    MOHAN Foundation actively took part in the marathon, providing support and encouragement to all the participants. Ms. Padmavathi Vasudevan, Ms. Shamika Singh, Ms. Yogita Ghorpade, and Ms. Pooja Vashisht form MOHAN Foundation encouraged and cheered the runners from the volunteer corridor.

    Ms. Jayalakshmi Krishnan and Mr. Vishwanathan, esteemed ambassadors for MOHAN Foundation, undertook the challenge of the Virtual and Physical Half Marathon respectively.

    Mr. Vinay Madan, accompanied by his son, emphasized a family's collective effort to raise awareness about organ donation. Mr. Chinmay Deo contributed to the collective spirit of the Dream Run. Mr. Ravinder Sus ran with vigor, challenging age stereotypes and actively supporting the noble cause of organ donation, inspiring others in the senior community. His objective was to raise awareness that organ donation and transplants offer second chances to lead healthy normal lives.

     

    The collective effort of participants of MOHAN Foundation not only celebrated personal achievements in the marathon but also significantly amplified the message of organ donation advocacy. Their participation served as a powerful demonstration of the Foundation's commitment to fostering a culture of organ donation awareness.  The Foundation expresses gratitude to the ambassadors for their invaluable contributions in advancing the mission of organ donation awareness.
