On 19th September 2015 Rotary club organized a rally on sensitizing the general public on the importance of organized donation at, 06.00am Elliots Beach. (Besant Nagar). Rotary club invited the MOHAN Foundation to be knowledge and resource partner to make this event a grand success. Ms. Sunitha transplant coordinator MOHAN Foundation Chennai managed the stall.
Rtn. Bala.Ragunathan President, Rotary Club Of Chennai East R A Puram addressed the gathering. During his talk he thanked MOHAN Foundation for accepting their request for the event and for their support and cooperation followed by it Actress Radhika Sarathkumar inaugurated the event and she appreciated the rotary club members for their support for the cause she mention that she and her husband have pledged Donor Card five years back itself.
Students from various colleges participated in the event and formed a human chain with displaying the cards on highlighting the importance of organ donation more than 400 students participated in the event.
Totally three stall information stall was put up and managed by MOHAN Foundation and Rotary Club voluntary‘s nearly 500 students and rotary club members visited the stall and totally 312 have showed their support by signing in donor registry .
At the end of the event Ms. Sunitha thanked the Rotary Club for promoting the noble cause and inviting MOHAN Foundation for the programme.
