On 8th September 2015 MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct a talk on Role of Investigating Officer in Brain Death and Organ Donation. The training was attended by Railway Police and Sub Inspectors within Chennai under the Avadi Police Recruitment School (PRS).
Ms. Sunitha A.T. Transplant Coordinator delivered a talk that focussed on basics of organ donation, brain death, myths related to donation, protocol for MLC organ donation case and THO Act. A short film on brain death and organ donation was also shown to the participants.
Totally 42 police officers participated in the programme and supported the cause by pledging with donor card the participants expressed that the poster was very useful to understand their role in MLC organ donation case .
At the end of the session Ms. Sunitha thanked the Avadi Police Recruitment School (PRS) and Police Training College for their support and cooperation for the continuous sessions.
