Publicity of Helpline using Outdoor Stickers

  • MOHAN Foundation provides an service of a free helpline for people to call and clarify doubts, get information about Organ Donation and  Transplantation. Interns Mr Kousikan and Ms Vaishnavi of Madras School of Social Work aimed to raise public awareness about the helpline. 

    They used stickers as a tool for the publicity and approached auto-rickshaw drivers and small shops, spoke to them about the cause and requested for the sticker to be placed on the vehicle or shop.  It was done in various locations across Chennai for  7 days in may 2025 .

    Reasons given for refusal are that  the vehicles were rented and not personally owned. Several drivers demanded a payment of ₹50 per sticker to permit it on their autos. Overall, there was low willingness among auto drivers to participate without compensation.
