Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai was invited to conduct an awareness program on organ donation by Police Recruitment School (PRS), Madurai on 11th May 2017 at 2:00pm. It was the second such programme organized for the police personnel at the PRS, Madurai.
The programme was attended by 44 Inspectors, Sub-inspectors and Head Constables of various police stations from Madurai, Sivagangai, Virudhunagar, Dindigul, Theni and Ramanathapuram.
Mr. S. Venkatesh, Transplant Coordinator, Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai explained the concepts of organ donation and the important role that the police play in medico-legal cases. All the participants pledged to become organ donors after the session and picked up their donor cards.
