On May 28, 2023, the MOHAN Foundation set up an organ donation information desk at a health camp conducted in the Holy Family Primary School Hall in Porvorim, Goa. The camp was organised by the Porvorim Welfare Foundation (a social worker's initiative) in conjunction with New Vrundavan Medical and Research Pvt. Ltd., the Indian Medical Association, Tiswadi, and DiabEndoCare Super Speciality Clinic.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., approximately 115 individuals were evaluated for heart disease and diabetes at a screening camp.
Mr. Gabriel Pereira from the MOHAN Foundation provided frequently asked questions (FAQs) on organ donation to camp attendees. The FAQs were distributed to close to 100 individuals, and five individuals pledged to donate their organs.
