On May 10, 2025, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, an Organ Donation Ambassador with the MOHAN Foundation, set up an organ donation information desk at a Free Health Camp and Blood Donation Camp organized by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Miramar – Goa, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Goa.
The camp, held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., witnessed a significant turnout of individuals seeking consultations across multiple specialties, including Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, and Dentistry.
Mr. Gabriel distributed approximately 60 FAQ booklets and actively engaged with attendees, raising awareness about organ donation. He emphasized the importance of pledging organs and communicating one’s decision to family members. He also provided information on whole body donation and offered support for completing the necessary documentation.
As a result of these efforts, five individuals pledged to donate their whole bodies, and ten pledged to donate their organs.
Mr. Tanmay Kholkar, Hon. Secretary of Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, and Mr. Mangirish Pai Raikar, Vice President of the Indian Red Cross Society, Goa, presented tokens of appreciation to Mr. Gabriel Pereira and the MOHAN Foundation in recognition of their valuable contribution.
Event partners included Goa Dental College, ASG Eye Hospital, Wisdom Super Speciality Hospital, Goa Medical College Blood Bank, and the MOHAN Foundation.
