On April 27, 2025, MOHAN Foundation was invited to GMERS Medical College, Gotri, Vadodara, by Dr. Hitesh Rathod, Head of the Department of Forensic Science. Dr. Rathod, a long-time supporter of organ donation initiatives, has previously collaborated with MOHAN Foundation in grief counselling for families of patients with brain trauma and brain stem death. His ongoing commitment to promoting organ donation continues to inspire students and colleagues alike.
As part of the session, Transplant Coordinator Mr. Sachin Rawat was invited to speak about the latest developments in the field of organ donation and to educate students on the donation process. Dr. Rathod also shared valuable insights from his experience on how to approach and counsel families during emotionally challenging times.
During the visit, the MOHAN Foundation team also met with Dr. Anup Chandani, Medical Superintendent of GMERS Medical College, to explore further opportunities for raising awareness among medical and nursing students. The session marked another meaningful step toward building a well-informed healthcare community that actively supports organ donation.Total 10 staff members attended the session.
