On October 14, 2023, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador, MOHAN Foundation, set up an Organ Donation Information Desk at the Blood Donation Camp organised by NSS Unit of Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sanquelim, in collaboration with Caring Souls and Goa Medical College Blood Bank, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The blood donation camp was conducted in the college's gymnasium, approximately 97 individuals attended the camp, 70 were eligible to donate, and 27 were rejected.
Mr. Gabriel displayed two videos on the display: What Is brain death? and a brief animated presentation by Shweta Gupta on organ donation.
He distributed approximately one hundred FAQs and spoke to the students and faculty about organ donation and why we needed to come forward to pledge.
