On October 15, 2023, MOHAN Foundation set up an organ donation information desk at a blood donation camp held at Aldona Institute, Aldona, Bardez, Goa. The camp was organised by Aldona Institute & Caring Souls in collaboration with Goa Medical College, Blood Bank, Bambolim.
The camp was held from 9.30 a.m. to 1pm Around 20 people came forward to donate blood.
Mr. Gabriel Pereira from the MOHAN Foundation provided frequently asked questions (FAQs) on organ donation to the camp attendees. The FAQs were distributed to close to 25 individuals, and two individuals pledged to donate their organs.
A person wanted information on a kidney transplant. As his friend, who is around 25 years old, was on dialysis, Gabriel shared information about SOTTO-GOA and his contact details to assist them if needed.
