  Mr. Goutam Patil, In-charge National Railway Union, Ajani, invited MOHAN Foundation to educate the union members about organ donation. Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Honorary Director, MOHAN Foundation addressed the group on 14^th July 2021.

  Dr. Wankhede gave information about the following topics:

  • What is organ donation and who can donate organs?
  • Brain death and the organ and tissues that can be donated following it
  • Difference between circulatory death and brain death
  • What is the process to register as an organ donor?
  • What are the rules and laws of organ donation?
  • Process of eye donation and body donation
  • Importance of Donor Card
  • Helpline number of the Foundation
  • MOHAN Foundation’s activities
  • Role of ZTCC in organ donation process

  Around 45 members were present and 15 of them signed consent forms. At the end of the session, Mr. Patil thanked Dr. Wankhede and the participants.
