  On 19^th July 2021, Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation made a presentation on the concepts of organ donation and transplantation to the members of the Aam Aadmi Party. The event was organized by Mr. Sandip Potepote, In-charge of the Ekat Mata Nagar Ward of the party, in the party office’s premises.

  Mr. Behera given information to the participants on the following:

  • What is organ donation and who can donate organs?
  • Brain death and the organ and tissues that can be donated following it
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • What is the process to register as an organ donor?
  • What are the rules and laws of organ donation?
  • Process of eye donation and body donation
  • Importance of donor card
  • Helpline number of the Foundation
  • MOHAN Foundation’s activities
  • Role of ZTCC in organ donation

  11 of the 40 participants signed up as organ donors. The Foundation appreciates the continuous efforts of the party in supporting the cause.
