MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ and tissue donation at Nipani Resort on 1st January 2020 during the reunion of alumni of Nipani High School in Belagavi
MOHAN Foundation was represented by Mrs. Sheetal Mundada and Dr. Bindita and Dr. Chetan, Plastic Surgeons from KLE Hospital were the invited speakers.
Mrs. Sheetal initiated the session with an Introduction of MOHAN Foundation, followed by concepts of brain death and organ donation. Dr. Bindita and Dr. Chetan continued the session by sharing certain concepts, myths and facts related to skin donation.
Around 60 people attended the session, positively responded to the cause of organ donation and also were very enthusiastic to know more about the process. More than 20 received donor cards by pledging their valuable organs.
