An eye donation awareness session was effectively held at Patangshaha Kutir Hospital, Jawhar, Palghar, on 04 May 2026. The primary aim was to raise awareness about the importance of eye donation and to encourage community involvement in this noble cause.
Approximately 45 participants attended the session. Detailed information was provided on various aspects of eye donation, such as its significance, eligibility criteria, the donation process, and dispelling common myths and misconceptions.
The participants actively engaged in the session and contributed positively to the discussions. A notable outcome of the awareness program was that three individuals volunteered to pledge their eyes for donation.
