A stall to spread awareness about organ donation and transplantation was put up at the Tajuddin Baba Mandal in Jaitala Nagar, by MOHAN Foundation on 27th January 2021. Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator managed the stall which had banners, brochures, pledge forms and donor cards.
The stall visitors were explained the concepts of organ donation by way of a PowerPoint presentation. Difference between brain death and cardiac death, organs and tissues that can be donated, the various authorities governing organ donation were explained.
Questions including the difference between coma and brain death were answered. The visitors were asked to download the organ donation app in their mobile phones which gives all necessary information regarding organ donation and transplantation.
Around 100 people visited the stall, 25 to 30 people collected pledge forms and 10 visitors filled the pledge form and collected their donor cards.
