Dr. Bhanu Prakash, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation for the Nursing students of Gandhi Nursing College on 27th November 2021. The event was organised in association with the Nephrology Department of Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad on the occasion of National Organ Donation Day.
Dr. Bhanu elaborately explained the concept of brain death, importance of the organ donation, eye donation and body donation, THO 1994 Act, importance of a donor card and myths about organ donation.
Around 180 nursing students attended the programme and all of them pledged to be organ donors and received their donor cards. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to Gandhi Medical College for their support.
