Mrs. Ranjini Shankar M S – Project Manager, MOHAN Foundation, coordinated with Mr. Harish G K of Advaith Hyundai, Bengaluru, to organize an awareness session for the staff on 27th November 2021. Around 53 staff of Advaith Hyundai attended the talk where Mrs. Ranjini and Mr. Marulappa were the speakers.
Mrs. Ranjini began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission and vision; explained the concept of organ and tissue donation; cardiac death and brain death; brain death declaration process through apnea test and few other clinical tests; and the procedure of deceased organ donation and living organ donation.
She then elaborated on eye, skin, and bone donation, briefly explained the role of Jeevasarthakathe, gave insights on the transplant law, and the importance of a donor card.
31 members took the organ donor pledge and collected their donor cards. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to Mr. Harish for his support.
