Based at Chennai, (Tamil Nadu, India), Endura Superabs Private Limited is engaged in manufacturing, exporting and supplying a range of Diamond tools. These tools are used as Edge Cutting Blades, Diamond Fickert Abrasives, Flexible Polishing Pads, Edge Cutting Saw and Profile Wheels. When MOHAN Foundation approached them for an awareness session, Mr. Vivek S, the Director of the company readily agree to awareness program on Organ Donation.
On Jan 05, 2023, an awareness on Organ Donation and Transplantation was conducted for the 22 employees of Endura Superabs Pvt. Ltd. The session begun with Mr. Vivek S introducing the speaker to the audience. Mr. S. P. Venkata Nagaraj, Managing Director, shared his thoughts on Organ Donation and requested the staff to participate freely.
Ms. Vijayalakshmi M, Intern from MMM College of Health Sciences, supported in distribution and Information pamphlets and Green Ribbons to the participants. Mr. Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation, briefly explained the concept of organ donation, transplantation, brain death, myth and scam on organ donation, and effective usage of organ donation helpline 1800 103 7100. Among the staff was a person who lost his family member to organ failure and not getting an organ in time, as well as another who had pledged earlier. Both of them shared their experiences and motivated their colleagues immensely.
The session came to a finale with Mr Vivek, briefing the session to other state workers followed by the vote of thanks. 14 employees, signed up to support organ donation and spread the words, 6 employees picked up donor card to pledge as an organ donor.
