  On 28^th December 2022, Mrs. Praveen Mahajan, Ambassador, MOHAN Foundation and Resource person of HP Red Cross organized awareness talk on Organ Donation for the Employees of Biological E Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. Poanta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. Around 30 participants attended the session.

   

  In this talk, she explained the following points: -

  • When and how does organ donation take place
  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • The transplant waiting list in India
  • Brain death
  • Difference between brain and coma
  • Contradictions to organ donation
  • Transplant law
  • Role of MOHAN Foundation
  • Organ donation myths and facts

   

  At the end, Mrs. Praveen Mahajan gave vote of thanks. Some participants gave feedback, their views on organ donation. They also fixed MOHAN Foundation brochure as permanent in their notice board so that all the company employees could read and get motivated for Organ Donation. All of them took the donor cards.
