On April 6, 2025, MOHAN Foundation was invited to create awareness about organ donation and set up an information stall at Shri Pujya Sindhi Panchayat Trust, Panvel. The program was organized by the Navi Mumbai Print and Digital Journalist Association, with support from Ms. Indumati Thakkar, who played a key role in arranging the event. The day also featured a blood donation drive and a health check-up camp, attracting members of the association as well as the general public.
Ms. Prarthana, Public Education Counsellor from MOHAN Foundation, conducted an organ donation awareness talk for the members of the Journalist Association. During her session, she spoke about the importance of organ donation, clarified the difference between brain death and cardiac death, and addressed common myths and misconceptions. Her talk encouraged many attendees to visit the awareness stall and engage in further discussion.
A total of 132 people visited the organ donation stall, where they received informative brochures, got their questions answered, and learned how to pledge their organs. Out of them, 7 individuals took the pledge to become organ donors. Ms. Prarthana’s interactive session and her engagement at the stall played a vital role in sensitizing the public and motivating them to support the noble cause of organ donation.
