Organ Donation Awareness Session at Shri Hanuman Samiti, Ulwe, Navi Mumbai

  • On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, an Organ Donation Awareness Session was organized on 12th April 2025 by Ms. Prarthana, Public Education Counsellor from MOHAN Foundation, at Shri Hanuman Samiti, Ulwe, Navi Mumbai.

    The aim of the session was to spread awareness among the devotees about the importance of organ and tissue donation, bust common myths, and encourage individuals to consider pledging as organ donors.

    A total of 25 samiti members and devotees attended the session with great enthusiasm. Ms. Prarthana covered various topics, including:

    • The need for organ donors in India
    • The concept of brain death vs. cardiac death
    • What organs and tissues can be donated
    • The process of pledging for organ donation

    The session was highly interactive, with several attendees actively participating by asking thoughtful questions and sharing their views. Many expressed their willingness to contribute to the cause of organ donation and appreciated the effort made to bring such an important topic to their community space.

    The session concluded with a group photo and a heartfelt vote of thanks from the samiti representatives to the MOHAN Foundation for their impactful work in promoting organ donation.
