On August 3, 2025, an awareness session on organ donation was conducted at the Urology
Department, Super Specialty Hospital & GMCH, Nagpur for the relatives of admitted
patients. The session was jointly organized by the Urology team and MOHAN Foundation
representatives Ms. Veena Wathore, Ms. Neha Sailwar, and Ms. Bhagyashree.
The session was opened by the Urology team and Doctors Dr. Tukaram, Dr. Vishal Narkhede,
Dr. Arpit, Dr. Rushikesh, and Dr. Pratik Nisar who welcomed the participants and highlighted
the importance of organ donation.
Following this, Ms. Veena explained in detail the concepts of organ donation, body
donation, and tissue donation, emphasizing their role in saving and improving lives. The
doctors from the Urology Department further interacted with the audience and helped
address their queries.
The participants raised several important questions, such as:
Who can donate organs?
What is the appropriate time frame for organ transplantation?
In which states or hospitals can organ donation and transplantation take place?
The discussion was interactive, with all attendees actively engaging and showing keen
interest. Their questions were answered with clarity, and they were encouraged to spread
awareness within their communities.
