Organ and Body Donation Awareness Desk at Ganeshutsav Mandal, Surya Nagar, Nagpur

    On August 31, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, was invited to conduct an organ and
    body donation pledge drive at the Ganeshutsav Mandal, Surya Nagar. The event was
    organized under the initiative of the Surya Nagar Welfare Society.
    As part of the outreach efforts, the MOHAN Foundation set up an Organ and Body
    Donation Awareness Desk at the venue. The desk was led by Ms. Bhagyashree Nighot and
    Ms. Neha Sailwar from MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur. The objective was to raise awareness
    about organ and body donation, dispel myths, and encourage informed pledge-taking.
    Informational brochures, pledge forms, and one-on-one counselling sessions were provided to
    the attendees.
    The desk received an encouraging response from the community, with over 100 participants
    engaging in meaningful discussions with the Foundation’s representatives. As a result of the
    awareness efforts, around 10 individuals came forward to formally pledge their organs
    or bodies, marking a positive step toward fostering a culture of donation and saving lives.
    MOHAN Foundation sincerely acknowledges the support of the Surya Nagar Welfare Society for
    providing this valuable platform to engage with the community and promote this noble cause. This
    collaboration significantly strengthened the Foundation’s mission to create informed communities and
    promote ethical organ and body donation practices.
