Organ Donation Awareness Session at Traffic Training Centre, Batch 492, Byculla, Mumbai

  • On April 16, 2025, MOHAN Foundation conducted an Organ Donation Awareness Session for Batch 492 at the Traffic Training Centre in Byculla, Mumbai. The session was attended by 90 participants, including traffic police personnel and staff members, who showed keen interest in understanding the importance and process of organ donation.

    The session was led by Ms. Sakshi, who provided an in-depth overview of organ and tissue donation, including the procedures for skin and eye donation, and clarified the difference between living and deceased donation.

    Participants actively engaged with the topic and asked several insightful questions, such as:

    • What is the procedure for tissue donation, like skin and eyes?
    • If someone hasn’t pledged yet, can they still donate later?
    • Is carrying a donor card mandatory to be an organ donor?

    Ms. Sakshi addressed all these questions with clarity and compassion, ensuring that every participant left with a better understanding of how they could contribute to this life-saving cause. The session was well-received and appreciated by the attendees for its relevance and informative nature.
