On July 11, 2024, the MOHAN Foundation Vadodara hosted an informative session for elderly residents at the SWARG community old age home. The session focused on the legal aspects and procedures involved in becoming an organ donor. It provided a comprehensive overview of how to obtain donor cards through the MOHAN Foundation's website and underscored the role of the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) in the organ donation process.
The interactive session aimed to address and debunk common myths and misconceptions about organ donation, offering factual information to clarify these issues. This approach not only educated the residents but also empowered them with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about organ donation. As a positive outcome of the session, 10 residents committed to becoming organ donors, representing a significant step towards enhancing awareness and participation in organ donation within the community.
