On April 29, 2025, MOHAN Foundation conducted an Organ Donation Awareness Programme at the RTO Office in Wadala, Mumbai. The session aimed to educate the staff and visitors about the importance of organ donation and how one can contribute to saving lives through this noble act.
The awareness session was attended by 70 participants, including RTO staff and members of the public. Ms. Sakshi led the session, explaining the concept of organ donation, the difference between brain stem death and cardiac death, and the procedures involved in both living and deceased donation. She also clarified the legal framework and the role of NOTTO, ROTTO, and SOTTO in the organ donation system.
Ms. Sakshi patiently addressed all doubts, providing clear and practical answers. The session concluded with 2 individuals coming forward to pledge their organs, reflecting the positive impact of the initiative.
