On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Neha Sailwar and Mr. Dhiraj Kurve facilitated the session. The programme was structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of organ donation and the vital role of counselling and coordination in the donation process.

At the beginning of the session, Ms. Neha Sailwar introduced MOHAN Foundation and shared information about the history, objectives, and Pan-India work of the organization. She then explained key concepts such as what death is, the difference between circulatory death and brain stem death, what organ donation is, and whether organ donation is legal or not. She also provided information on how patients can register on the waiting list and briefly explained Anudaan, the Foundation’s financial assistance initiative.

Following this, Mr. Dhiraj Kurve took the lead and shared insights into how to approach and support donor families, detailing the counselling process and the challenges faced during counselling. He also shared details of a recent successful organ donation case, which inspired and motivated the students.

To further strengthen understanding and emotional connection, the MOHAN Foundation team screened short films showcasing successful organ donation and transplantation cases. These visual presentations helped motivate students and encouraged them to spread awareness about organ donation within their communities.

An interactive discussion was held during the session, during which students actively participated and raised questions. All queries were addressed by the MOHAN Foundation team. Around 65 students participated in the session, making it highly interactive and impactful.

MOHAN Foundation sincerely thanked Dr. Sushil Meshram, NSS Camp coordinators, the management and staff of Sewadal Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, and all the participating students for their cooperation and support in making this awareness session successful and meaningful.
