Organ Donation Awareness Rally at Yerla Village with NSS Unit of G.S. Collage by MOHAN Foundation

  • On January 8, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur conducted an Organ Donation Awareness rally with NSS students of G.S. College of Commerce and Economics, Nagpur at Yerla village. The objective of the rally was to create awareness among the community regarding the importance of organ donation and to motivate people to come forward and support the cause.

    On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Veena Wathore, Ms. Neha Sailwar, and Mr. Dhiraj Kurve participated in the rally. The rally covered all major areas of Yerla village, ensuring maximum reach and visibility. During the rally, Ms. Veena distributed brochures to the villagers and shared information about the activities and vision of MOHAN Foundation.

    During the rally, students raised meaningful and motivational slogans such as “Ek Khamoshi Anek Muskaan-Aao Kare Angadaan,” “Angadaan – Jeevandaan, Jeevandaan – Mahadaan,” “Jeevan Ka Amulya Vardaan, Netrheen Ko Netradaan.” Their active participation helped draw the attention of villagers and generated curiosity about the noble cause.

    As part of the awareness initiative, the students also performed a street play at a central square in the village where a large number of people had gathered. Ms. Neha Sailwar and Mr. Dhiraj Kurve actively participated in the street play and explained in detail the vision of MOHAN Foundation, what organ donation is, whether it is legal, the age criteria for organ donation, and how individuals can take the pledge for organ donation.

    The objective of the street play was to create awareness among villagers about organ donation and to share authentic information about MOHAN Foundation. The villagers responded positively and showed keen interest in the topic.

    Overall, the rally served as an effective medium to spread awareness among 100 people about organ donation in Yerla village, with enthusiastic involvement of NSS students and strong community engagement.
