On July 01, 2025 - A highly impactful organ donation awareness program was successfully conducted at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential School and Junior College. The initiative, led by Project Manager Mr. Venkatesh Kattela from MOHAN Foundation, engaged over 350 students and faculty members across two interactive sessions.
The program utilized engaging PowerPoint presentations, tailored for two distinct batches: students from 6th to 9th grade, and those from 10th grade to intermediate levels. This strategic approach ensured minimal disruption to academic schedules while maximizing engagement and comprehension.
The sessions were graced by the presence of Principal L. Narendhar Kumar and Vice Principal Putta Nageshwar Rao. Faculty members expressed their profound appreciation for MOHAN Foundation's dedicated efforts in promoting the crucial cause of organ donation. A particularly inspiring moment occurred when a faculty member proudly displayed his organ donor card, a gesture that deeply resonated with and motivated many attendees.
The interactive talks comprehensively covered essential aspects of organ donation, including its definition, different types of donation, the critical distinction between brain death and cardiac arrest, the significance of the donor card, the consent process, common myths and misconceptions, and the urgent societal need for organ donation.
The program concluded with an enthusiastic response, with many attendees pledging to donate their organs, underscoring the vital role of engaging educational institutions in fostering a culture of organ donation awareness among the younger generation.
