



On 7th Jan, 2016, MFJCF conducted an awareness drive at Govt. Ram Chandra Khaitan Polytechnic College, Jaipur. Approx 40 people participated in an hour long session which was started with powerpoint presentation on Deceased Organ Donation. Concepts of organ donation and transplantation were explained by the speaker. Also gave information about the types of donations, how to diagnose brain death, myths related to donation, the Transplant Law of India. The pictures and stories of our donors were also shown.
The session was conducted in an interactive manner where the participants asked questions, such as, can anyone donate body after organ donation; is there any age limit to donate organs; can a 80yrs old person become a donor, and what is the time duration for donating eyes after death?
Dr. Poonam Gupta, Dr. Shailaja Sharma and Mr. Roshan Bahadur represented MFJCF team. They also distributed information brochure. 5-6 participants filled pledge forms and picked up donor cards.
