On March 8, 2025, Central India College of Pharmacy organized an event in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMC) and the MOHAN Foundation to mark International Women's Day. The main focus of the event was to arrange a health check-up camp, offering free screenings and consultations to the community.
In addition to the health camp, the MOHAN Foundation set up an information desk to raise awareness about organ donation. The desk was managed by MS Bhagyashree Nighot, Transplant Coordinator and Grief Counsellor at MOHAN Foundation, and Dr. Aditi Newaskar, Dr. Mrudula Khandagale, Dr. Abhiruchi Mnikpure, and Harshada Gaddling from IGGMC. They addressed various questions about organ donation, such as the difference between coma and brain death, eye donation, and the online organ donation registration process.
The event saw around 500 participants, with informative brochures distributed and four individuals taking the organ donation pledge. This initiative successfully combined health awareness with the promotion of organ donation, educating attendees about the life-saving importance of donating organs.
