MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur centre was invited by Mohammed Siddique Sayani Director of Mother Teresa Nursing Institute, Jafar Nagar, Nagpur to give information about Decease Organ Donation at their institute on 7th June 2014.
Mr.Bulu Behera transplant coordinator of the MOHAN Foundation conducted that talk. With the help of powerpoint presentation, he explained the concepts of Organ Donation and Transplantation. He talked about the concept of brain death and the way it is certified. He highlighted that organs and tissues can be donated after brain death, natural death and while living. He explained that after brain death it is impossible to come back his life & if the brain death patient’s family wants to donate organs then they can help several people. 18 members attended the program, before signing the pledge form they want to discuss with their family members.
