

On May 2, 2025, an awareness session on organ and tissue donation organised by Ms. Sangeetha, at Nesam Society (Home for Women and Girls) in Tiruvannamalai. The session was conducted by Ms. Sangeetha, Project Executive at MOHAN Foundation, with the objective of educating the residents and staff about the significance of organ and tissue donation.
Ms. Sangeetha delivered an informative and engaging presentation that addressed the vital need for organ donation, clarified common misconceptions, and spoke about brain death and donation process. She offered a step-by-step explanation of how organ and tissue donation works and shared motivational real-life stories to inspire the audience.
The session was met with enthusiasm and active engagement from the participants. Around 20 individuals attended the session, and 9 of them took donor cards, expressing their interest in becoming organ donors.
MOHAN Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Sindhu (Incharge), for her support in making this awareness program a success. This initiative played a valuable role in raising awareness and cultivating a supportive outlook toward organ donation within the local community.
