Mahila Mandal organises an Organ Donation Awareness Event

  • Ranajunar Mahila Mandal invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an awareness session at Samadevi Hall, Belgaum on 03rd February 2020.

    MOHAN Foundation was represented by Mrs. Sheetal Mundada. The following were the topics discussed:

    • Introduction about MOHAN Foundation and its activities
    • Brain Stem Death
    • Circulatory Death
    • Jeevasarthakathe and its role
    • Organ allocation system in Karnataka
    • The burden of organ failure and need for organ donation
    • Importance of a Donor Card

    Around 300 people were present during the talk and more than 40 pledged to be organ donors. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to the Mahila Mandal for the opportunity.
