MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Adishesu and Mr. Mohan Rao of Jana Chaitanya Samakhya Sakha to conduct organ donation awareness in their community at Jandrapet (village), Chirala (mandal), Andhra Pradesh on July 09, 2015.
Ms. Shanti explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation. Mr. K. Hanumantha Rao’s family pledged to donate organs. More than 150 participants were distributed donor cards and information brochures.
We thank Mr. Adishesu and Mr. Mohan Rao for their kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank all the participants for their support.
