MOHAN Foundation was requested by Mrs. Rajeshwari, faculty member, to conduct an awareness session on organ donation at Global Indian International School, Peerjadiguda, Hyderabad for their students on 6th July 2015.
There were about 200 students and 25 faculty members that attended the awareness session. All the faculty members were distributed donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures.
Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation, and the role of medical professionals in organ donation and distributed the donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures and explained the importance of donor card.
We thank Mrs. Rajeshwari and the Principal for inviting us and hope that this session has ignited the young minds of Global Indian International School.
