On April 23, 2025, MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness session for the nursing students of Tirupati Nursing College. The session aimed to increase awareness about the importance of organ donation and the critical role healthcare professionals play in identifying and certifying potential organ donors.
The activity also highlighted the collaboration between SOTTO and NTORC hospitals in strengthening the national organ donation framework. During the interactive session, several common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation were addressed and clarified through facts and evidence-based discussions.
The college's Principal, Mrs. Mallikah Vorha, attended the session and has enrolled in the Transplant Coordinator Professional Certificate Program. She also expressed a keen interest in having MOHAN Foundation train nursing students who are passionate about organ donation. MOHAN Foundation is pleased to support this initiative and contribute to building awareness among future healthcare professionals.Total 60 members attended the session.
