MOHAN Foundation Invited to conduct an Awareness Session on Organ Donation at Golluru Village,Telangana

  Dr. Bhanub Prakash elucidating the importance of Organ Donation

  On 20^th November 2022, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on Organ Donation at Golluru Village,Maheshwaram Mandal, Rangareddy District for the masses. Mr. Manoj and Mrs. Madhavi who were residents of the area reached out to MOHAN Foundation to sensitise the villagers on Organ Donation and Transplantation. Dr Bhanu Prakash was the key resource

  Dr. Bhanu Prakash started the session by asking a few introductory questions on Organ Donation and then introduced MOHAN Foundation to the participants and kept the audience engaged throughout the session. The following were discussed in detail:

  • Organ donation and its need in the society
  • When and how does organ donation take place
  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • Transplant waiting list in India
  • Role of MOHAN Foundation
  • Eye donation

  Dr. Bhanu Prakash motivated the villagers to pledge for Organ Donation. Donor cards and brochures were distributed at the end of the session.
