The Nagpur center of MOHAN Foundation set up an information desk on organ donation at the Outpatient Department of the Government Medical College of the city on 4th October 2019. The objective was to provide information about organ donation to the patients and relatives who visit the OPD and Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator manned the stall.
Mr. Behera stressed on the importance of understanding brain death and organ donation. He also explained the types of death and process of eye donation and body donation.
He explained the activities of MOHAN Foundation and requested the stall visitors to use MOHAN Foundation’s website and helpline number to acquire more information. Around 25 people visited the stall and 2 of them signed the consent form and received donor cards.
