On July 21, 2023, Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Senior Medical Officer (SMO) of Community Health Centre (CHC) Chiri, invited SOTTO Haryana and MOHAN Foundation to set up an information kiosk on organ donation during a Health checkup camp at CHC Chiri as part of the Haryana Government's 'Haryana Uday' initiative.
Ms. Renu Kumari of MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Deepti Kumari, and Mr. Rajesh Kumar of SOTTO Haryana, set up an information desk stocked with relevant materials such as information pamphlets, standees, organ donation flyers, pledge forms, and donor cards.
The team urged the public to donate organs and save the lives of their fellow humans. 10 individuals committed to organ donation by signing the pledge form.
Ms. Renu Kumari thanked Sh. Rakesh Saini, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDO), Rohtak, the Chief Guest of the programme; Dr. Varun Arora, Professor of the Department of Community Medicine at PGIMS, Rohtak; and Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Senior Medical Officer (SMO) at Chiri, for inviting them and allowing them to set up a kiosk on organ donation.
Close to 80 individuals from five to six villages visited the kiosk and 10 people pledged to donate their organs.
