On March 31, 2024, the Lions Club Zone 1 & 2 of Region 7 organized a meeting, at Nel Arisi Vyabarigal Thirumanamandabam, Redhills, Chennai. Organ Donation enthusiast, Ln Paraneetharan, Region Chairperson created an opportunity for MOHAN Foundation to organize an information desk at the event.
The event started with display of traditional martial arts like, Kathi – dagger/knife, Reddai Vaal – dual sword, Silambam – long bamboo pole, eetti or Vel – spear, Surul Vaal – curling blade and Vaal + Ketayam – sword + shield by school students. Followed by the Zone Chairpersons of Redhills Pullilyon (zone 1) and /Puzhal Humanity (Zone 2), Ln Ganesan and Ln Balaji respectively were welcomed by the Region Chairperson Ln Paraneetharan and the achievements and proceedings were discussed. The newcomers where induction was given to the new members of Lions Club and induction kits were distributed.
Mr Ganesh C, MOHAN Foundation, organized an information desk at the entrance of the venue and created awareness on Organ Donation. Over 120 members visited and information brochures were distributed to them and 65 members pledged as donors.
MOHAN Foundation extends its warm gratitude towards Ln J. Paraneetharan, Zone Chairperson, and the other Lions Club members for the wonderful opportunity and hospitality.
