On Sunday March 31, 2024 a Patriot Run was organised by X factor Eventz and Entertainment in Chennai. MOHAN Foundation was invited to be part of the run as it was for real heroes. Dr Hemal Kanvinde, Q&A Officer and Mr Baskar of MOHAN Foundation were present at the event.
More than 400 runners came to Olcott School Besant Nagar at 5 am to participate in the 10 k, 5 k and 3 k run. There were around 20 children also running in the 3 k run. Dr Hemal Kanvinde gave a short introduction to the work of MOHAN Foundation, and about organ donation. She mentioned how organ donors and their families are real heroes because they save lives. She reminded all runners to think of the hero in their lives and how they can become one by helping others.
She flagged off the run and distributed prizes for the children category. All the runners were given an information brochure and around 50 of them took a donor card. MOHAN Foundation thanks the organisers for this opportunity to educate people about organ donation.
