'Celebration of Life' - a Virtual concert by Usha Uthup - in aid of organ donation

Updated on Monday, December 20, 2021
  • Did you know that millions of people around the world suffer with end stage organ failure? The scenario is no different in India.

At 0.8 PMP (per million population), India has one of the poorest organ donation rates in the world. While one deceased donor has the potential to give a new lease of life to eight people, and yet, organ donation is not very common, and is not spoken about freely among family members. It is imperative for every well-meaning citizen to act on the lifesaving power of organ donation and be a part of this movement. Apart from educating and motivating the public, there is much to be done to augment India’s healthcare ecosystem to enable more deceased organ donations, so that the ‘Gift of Life’ can be provided to all those waiting to receive a life-saving organ.

MOHAN USA is a 501 (c) (3) registered non-profit organisation that seeks to promote Ethical Organ Donation and raise awareness about organ donation among south Asian community in US.

MOHAN USA is delighted to bring to you “Celebration of Life”, a virtual concert by Padma Shri Usha Uthup. It is an effort to raise support for the lifesaving organ donation work of MOHAN Foundation in India.
