  Mr Bulu Behera being honored by the Management of ITI College

  On 11^th January 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Dilip Muski, NSS in-charge of Government ITI College, Mata Kacheri, Nagpur to conduct an awareness session for their students at the NSS camp at Wade Gaon Kale, Nagpur. Around 50 students and 3 lecturers were present at the session.

  Mr. Dilip Muski introduced Mr. Bulu Behera and also spoke briefly about organ donation and why it is required. Mr. Behera, Transplant Coordinator from MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur gave information about organ donation and transplantation.

  In his talk he explained the following points:

  • Necessity and importance of organ donation
  • Type of donors
  • The tissues that could be donated in case of natural death
  • Brain death and the organs and tissues that can be donated in case of brain death
  • Myths related to organ donation
  • Importance of Donor Cards
  • Importance of Help Line number and MOHAN Foundation website

  It was a remarkable session; all the NSS students were highly motivated and promised that they would come forward to make organ donation a success in their areas. At the end of the session they were also told about the importance of discussing their wish to donate with family and friends.
