On 13th January 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. Samir Hussain, NSS in-charge of Dr. M K Umathe College, Pannase Layout, Nagpur to conduct an awareness session for their students at a NSS camp at Parsodi, Nagpur. Around 40 students and 3 lecturers were presented at the session.
Dr. Samir Hussain spoke briefly about organ donation and why it is required and also introduced Mr. Bulu Behera. Mr. Behera, Transplant Coordinator from MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur gave information about organ donation and transplantation.
In his talk he explained the following points:
It was an engaging session; all the NSS students were highly driven and were interested in helping make organ donation successful in their areas. At the end of the session they were also told about the importance of discussing their wish to donate with family and friends.
