

On 19th November 2014, MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted an awareness session for the students of Centre for Social Work, Chandigarh under the “Student Awareness Campaign” which started on, to cover all the students of Chandigarh. Prof.Gaurav Gaur helped a lot in arranging the session in a big way and motivated the students for the same
Around 20 students participated in the program and they were from 1st year were given a presentation on the phenomenon of Brain Death and the process of organ donation through a presentation and videos by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. The myths and misconception associated with organ donation were also discussed and got cleared. The donor cards were shown to them.
After the presentation students discussed the whole process of organ retrieval and transplantation. Around 40 cards were taken by the students. It was a stimulating session and students helped a lot in making it an interactive one as some of them were already working on eye donation. They asked good questions and showed interest to engage in the activities of the organization in future.
