  On 8^th February 2022, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mrs. Seema Chaudhary, NSS Program Officer, to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their senior students.  Around 130 students attended the session.

   

  Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch.

   

  In this talk, she explained the following points: -

  • Organ donation and its need
  • When and how does organ donation take place
  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • The transplant waiting list in India
  • Brain death
  • Difference between brain death and coma
  • Contraindications to organ donation
  • Transplant Law
  • Role of MOHAN Foundation
  • Organ donation myths and facts
  • Eye donation

   

  At the end, NSS volunteers gave the vote of thanks on behalf of NSS, Govt. Model Senior Secondary   Schoool, and thanked Ms. Neha for the greatly informative session. On behalf of the audience, Mrs. Seema Chaudhary, thanked MOHAN Foundation and Ms. Neha for sharing with student’s information on a topic of great importance and relevance.
